I have a quantar shelf which is setup as an aux or sat rx'cver and enough FRU parts to replace a whole quantar repeater.

my question is, is there any difference between an aux shelf and repeater shelf or can I put in the FRU parts and program the unit as a repeater and have one????

Any help would be great.

Look at the backplane in your RX shelf. If it is the same as a base/repeater [e.g. TRN7480A], you should be good to go.

And be sure the power supply will take the load. A 110W Quantar needs more than 600W on transmit. I would be surprised to see a base station power supply in a satellite receiver package.
