What is the best way to get rid of engine noise? This particular engine noise happens to be in a 1993 Crown Vic Interceptor and I thought there was some sort of notice from Ford for this particular year about the computer or fuel pump causing this problem. I have unhooked the antenna to see if the noise was still there and it was so now I'll see what the rest of you guys do to get rid of this. Thanks!

1. Engine noise filter from Tessco.

2. Pull fuel pump from tank. Install (solder) a .01uF from (+) to GND and another .01uF cap from (-) to ground. Add a 3rd .01uF cap from (-) to (+).

3. If it's there yet, install another noise filter on the fuel pump wires right on the inside of the body.

What size amp should I use? I have a 50 watt VHF radio (this is where the problem is) and a 110 watt VHF radio.Would I just need one for the 50 watt radio because that is the one with the problem or will one cure it for all the radios
