Batboard

Someone once gave me a hint that I could extend the 8 channels in my McMicro to 99 channels by changing eeproms 24c02 to 24c16.
Could anyone verify this modification, and if it would work, is there anything I should have in mind before i change the eeproms.

On my mcmicro MAU23EVA9J with 99 Channel is a M27C64-x25 working.
This EPROM has the original Part / Version No. 51-02455m 14 - this number is displayed when I make the read from radio with the RSS.
It read 16 records 1024 byte.
