Hi all --
I use a VHF Hi HT1000 at work (law enforcement). I found out today that when I transmit, the other portables and mobiles can hear me fine, but County radio control can not. As you can imagine, that's not a good thing. I'm dropping the radio off at the shop Mon. a.m. Anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

I'm happy to provide more information if needed. Thanks!

Is this a new problem with a radio that you've been using for some time, or did you just start using, or re-program, the radio recently?

If your're department is using a repeater, it sounds like the radio may have been programmed for simplex operation (transmitting on the output frequency, instead of the input). If dispatch is running directly through the repeater base, that would fit your problem perfectly.

Just a guess......

Thanks for the responses. THe radio was recently reprogrammed. That's what I thought the problem was, but it's nice to hear it from more knowledgeable people.

I'll try to let you know what the problem was.
