anyone able to provide guidance as to where to drill and not drill into floorpan below the 2nd row seat? i know the fuel tank is on the driver side inside the frame rail, is there any clearence below the floorpan? any other issues i should be aware of for mounting stuff below the rear seat?

Um.....not to sound like a smartass or anything, but take a light underneat the vehicle and look. It takes thirty seconds.

Don't rely on what someone else did- especially on a different year. Even within the same year, there are fuel tank, exhaust and driveline variations that might change things. Different types of seat will make a difference too since equipment may need to be shifted on way or the other.

If you put a radio under the rear seat in a 2004 Tahoe with no problems, you might just do another "identical" 2004 Tahoe and drill the tank just because this particular truck had the 38 gallon tank instead of the 30 gallon tank like the last one that went flawless.

Many shops bought new driveshafts for 99 Crown Vics because the 98 allowed you to drill into the floorpan to mount the rear of the console. They assumed the 99 was the same and it wasn't.

For as simple as it is, go underneath and look. It might just save you from buying a new gas tank or evap reservoir $$$$$.

I've already seen Crown Vics with sequential serial numbers have different harnesses in them, so things change!

Also I'd avoid drilling anywhere period. That's why i took the time to have my mounting tray built since it attaches to the factory seat bolts.
