When I got this radio, it had 24 Phoenix, PD freqs. programmed in it. After putting 2-meter freqs in. The SB3 side button does not open the squelch? (after the 5 second beep it would remain open) Now after deleting the PD freqs, & putting in 48 ham freqs. The SB3 side button does not open the squelch at all? (It did work with the PD freqs in) any ideas would help! thanks Ed

Isent the settings for the three side buttons simmular to the HT1000 radios. It is in the Side Button Configuration screen (HT1000RSS).
Under the Radio Configuration menu.

Ed, I do not have the RSS for that paticular radio so I do not know if it is simmular to the HT1000 RSS.

I have it Will Thanks! R06.05.00 It all says squelch enabled? but it does not work? I have to go to work at Midnite, I'll switch radios & write to another MT..& see what happens? After spending 4 hours on one radio, with all the years we have in! I think its a hardware prob! now? It worked ok a few weeks ago, And I had no reason to change the SB buttons...thanks for the reply, I'll let you know ..Ed

Problem turned out to be a bad SB-3 button! I reversed the squelch to SB-2; now it works fine! left SB-3 "unprogrammed" & the bule button on top is for the light! thanks for all those who helped me out! Ed

I was unable to pull up any "code plugs" for the MT2000 series radios so I could check if the RSS is simmular to the HT1000 RSS programming.
If someone has a UHF one I could use? PM me.
