Just wondering if anyone has had any problems interfacing the MTR2000 base to a dc tone remote adapter ( CPI). I will be trying it later this year, feedback is appreciated. [email protected]

The MTR 2K will not work on DC remote. It's in the manual in some places and the RSS refers to it but it is not on the wireline board. If you have a DC deskset AND adaptor to attach to the radio, then you can probably interface to the radio through the expanded connector (like local control..). I would suggest you change to tone so you can connect direct to the wireline board (and get decent lightning protection for the telco lines too...)

I have encountered this issue in the past and I have a working solution.

CPI make a "DC to Tone Convertor Box" CPI part # DTC1

The unit allows for F1, F2, PTT and Monitor. The DTC1 will set you back about $400.00.

Enjoy!

The simple DC remote board termination board, available from several vendors, can be wired into the DB25 connector.

Yep, wiring a DC remote interface such as a TNA200 or equivalent is easily done through either the 96-pin expanded connector, or the DB25 MRTI connector.
