CAT-300 Repeater Controller - Remote De-activate

I just put a Ham repeater up and used a CAT-300 controller.

THe thing was a beast to program, and its not very user friendly.

Now the customer wants to be able to de-activate the transmitter by remote (DTMF) over the air.

I'm sitting here with the manual looking at the user codes and such but nothing seems to work.

Anybody have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I have installed two CAT-200 repeater controllers on my UHF repeaters and found they were easy to program using CAT's software. It could mean a lot of touch-tones over the air to do it manually, however.

Assuming that the programming is similar on the CAT-300, what specifically are you having problems with?

I have five repeaters with CAT controllers and I love them. (2) CAT-300's (2) CAT-200's and (1) CAT-1000. The usual code for turning the repeater off and on is in Zone 1. Using the default control operator code 100. the functions would be: 100 110 repeater OFF, 100 111 repeater on.

That's just what it is in the CAT-200.

I suppose once you get the hang of it, it'll seem (and it really is) very simple.
