I flashed my gm1200, but I wrong in the model choice, or better, my gm1200 has the head with 6 buttons and the model after the flashed result with 13 buttons and the rotary knob. The radio work if I change the head but with its head (with only 6 buttons) give me the error 90/01.
Someone know how can I change the head or can send me the right codeplug or some info. I tried to change the radio ID with the Wookie RSS but without fortune....I need more info about this RSS.
Please a wise help me!
Thanks in advance

You only have to change the codeplug with MTSX-LAB!
Use the 2100 series DOS RSS for creating a default codeplug
(M01RFM9AN5).
Both models have the same firmware inside. There are only 3 different firmware files for the regular 2100 skywalker radios(Jedi Mobile,Jedi port. frontdisplay and the Jedi port. topdisplay).

I'm sorry,
But you can't handle 250 channels with a type I controlhead. Either get yourself a type II (or III) controlhead, or reprogram (using the original codeplug) to the former state and control 10 conventional channels.

I don't understood.
There are two different info.
Can I resuscitate this radio or not?....
Why I can't have 250 channels with this control head...the codeplug is resident in the radio.
This model was a trunked, now after the flashing how can I have a conventional radio? for me also 10 channels conventional are good, but what is the exact procedure.....someone can post me a ready codeplug and the istructions to make this......I loosed 5 night with this radio without fortune.
I WANT UNDERSTAIN!!!!!.....HEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLP

The radio will work fine after creating a default codeplug with the 2100 DOS RSS.Your radio is with the channel selecting knob,so you have to choose the M01RFM9AN5 model.Dump the codeplug to HD and rename it to dmtest.ds.Load the codeplug with MTSX-LAB or ASTROLAB and dump it with no pack/unpack into the radio.
After this, read the radio with the 2100 DOS RSS and retune it.
You don“t need the modified RIB for this!
More infos on my Homepage(in German only).

Dear Andreas,
the problem is this. My radio has the control ghead with 6 buttons, and not with rotary knob.
I have the arrows to go up an down in the channel. My error was to load in this radio the codeplug for the model with knob. I need to change the control head model, because when I read the radio the rss inform me that it has the head with knob and 13 buttons, but really it has the head with 6 buttons. Infact the rdio gives me the error FL01/90. If I change the head (I have another gm1200 with 13 buttons and knob) the radio works great.
It don't work because is wrong the control head model.
I need to chance this in the codeplug.......
Thanks for your help...I'm desperate

i'm not sure still which type of radio he's got 1200 or 2100

So,if your controlhead has a loudspeaker inside, you have to change it!
There is no compatible model in the 2100 series RSS with such a controllhead.

Yes, I try to explain better.
At the origin the radio was a gm1200 with control head with 6 buttons.
I flashed it to became a 2100 (I don't know that this model with the speaker inside was not supported from 2100 rss...now i know this).
Infact after the flashing operation it gives me the error FL 90/01 (if I change the head with another one with 13 buttons and rotary it work).
Now how I can re-put inside the original codeplug (I not have a copy of it) to use the radio? It original was a trunked model, I can use it in conventional mode also with only 10 channels?....Or someone can suggest me a solution?
What I can do ???????
thanks in advance at all wise man!

Turi,
You have to get your hands on the original codeplug, or if it's not working, get a codeplug from exact the same model/type. To get this codeplug into your radio you have to (HEXEDIT) change the serialnumber in the codeplug and afterwards you have to recalculate/change the checksum in the checksum before you edited..
Or, you have to find a type II or III controlhead....
Ed
P.s. The error you have is a FL 01/90.....

OPS.....I not have a copy of the codeplug.
The original model is GM1200 M01RFL9CK4AN typ. MR503AD and the actual serial (after flashing) is 1234567890.
If someone has this codeplug (modified because I'm not able to use the hex code) to send me for me will be a great help.
Thanks in advance and I wish a lottery win at who help me.

The codeplug can be created by the GM/GP1200 DOS RSS and loaded with MTSX-LAB,but you have to flash the 1200 firmware too.
You can only flash it with a Jedi Lab flashtool, but you have to get also the right Lab firmware. The best is to change the controlhead.

Sorry for wakeup this old thread, but I have the same problem here.
On my desk I have a Motorola GM1200 (Modell M01RFL9CK4AN) with the smal display and 6 buttons.
When the radio get some power, I get "Err 02" message on the display.
Where I can get the right codeplug from?
The Radio can be programmed only with the Windows Software.
In DPS12DW cant find a codeplug for this radio.
Under DOS I tried to flash the GM1200 Firmware, but I get Error 202. The radio need first the right codeplug and can be flashed only after?
I hope its possible, to repair the rig.
