Anybody have any knowledge of an upgrade for the CommandPlus Console? Supposedly it will give you 2-tone paging as well as several other features... When I called gai-tronics, they said it's appx $200 , but didnt say if it was hardware or software related. Our current CommandPlus doesn't have 2-tone and that's the only thing we need...

Anybody have any previous experience or insight here?

Check the main page of batlabs under model specific.. there should be an upgrade there, unless they closed that loophole.

I'm assuming you mean under the Comtegra information for the upgrade, have tried that numerous times with no results... any other ideas / info out there?

Just installed the upgrade in a console.
It is an activation code. Done over the phone when you are in front of the console.
Programming required to configure the signaling systems afterwards.

Alan, is the activation code specific to console (by serial number or other)? Or is it just a general activation?

Specific to the console.
To activate, you phone Gai-tronics tech support when you are in front of the console.
They will ask you for some info from one of the set-up screens, they give you a series of numbers to input, the console will generate some numbers, you give them those numbers and they give you a final set of numbers to input.
Reset the console, and the option is activated.
