I have a top mounted charger which means I have to remove the battery from the radio and flip it so the 2 top connectors are in the charger.

is the Saber R batteries the same if you flip them over or are they fatter and unable to be top charged?

you can see the charger here in the picture.

so if you have a R series battery and a regular let me know if they are thicker on the top of the battery.

thanks

Hi:

Sorry to report, the "R" series batteries
have a completely different layout on the
top....

I would reommend a Smart Charger which
will work with both.

I have a extra one if you are interested

i have a saber1 r and rhe battery points are a little diffrent on top due to the diffrent type of battery mount ,the lip on the top of the battery is about 1/4 inch deep ond the points are a little more offset
