Hello, I am brand new to the forum and also semi-new into radios. I have several radios that I need antennas for.Could someone tell me if KIT# NAE6483AR EBAY item #1333151413 will fit either of the following radios. I'm assuming the kit number is a motorola number. The radios that I need antennas for are as follows: (2) GP300's model #P94YPC00C2AA, (2) Visars model #HO5RDH9AA7AN, and (6) Visars model #HO5WCD4CB1AN . If not, can someone direct me to where I can find some used antennas for these radios. I will be selling some of these radios in the future. I am not sure which ones just yet. I need to find out the features of each to determine which ones I am going to keep. I may be interested in working out a trade for a HT1000 vhf radio. Also, sooner or later I am going to need help with programming. I have access to software. I just need to get the hardware, but for now I am concentrating on getting everything in order. Your help is very much appreciated because when it comes to radios, I do not know too much.

Hello and welcome,
The 6483 antenna your asking about will work
on your GP-300's just fine. Careful when trying an antenna on the Visar's- look inside the antenna hole ad you'll see a center pin- it's a SMA connector and you'll need the right antenna so you don't bend that pin. Another note: The GP-300's you mentioned are 12.5 KHz channel spacing radios, they'll work fine with each other but if used with the more common 25 KHz spaced radios the audio will not sound right.
Good Luck- it's a Fun hobby.

Thanks for the info Jim. I see what you mean about the Pin. Of the three models that I've listed, which has the most features? Also, whats a good price for a new antenna specifically the one I mentioned above?

The Visar probaly has the most features.
The R Visor is 403 to 470 mhz and the W Visor is 900 mhz. The UHF Visar can do 12.5 and the normal 25 khz spacing and deviations (2.5khz on 12.5khz spacing and 5khz deviation on the 25khz and 12.5khz spacing channels) on a per channel basis.

The correct UHF antenna for the Visar is: 8505241U05 6" long and it has a grey insulator in the SMA connection.
Be very carefull with the antenna on a Visar, the radio can be dammaged and the antenna connector in the radio ruened by the wrong antenna.

Thanks Will, Do both model radios take the same antenna? I have two antennas that are marked motorola uhf. They are both 5 1/4" long and one has a grey insert, while the other insert looks more like white. I assume that they both will work...correct? I also have one unmarked flexable antenna that is 7" long and has a red insert. Would this one also be correct? If the 7" is also correct, is there any advantage to having a longer antenna as opposed to a shorter.
Back to features...I'm pretty sure that the R model has 16 channels, but not sure about the W model. Can someone help me regarding this? I know that the GP300 has 16 channels and I believe it is capable of scanning the channels. Are either of the visars that I have capable of scanning? Also, just what is the keypad for on the R model? Thanks in advance.

NO the GP300 series radios take a different antenna with a threaded stud with out a cneter pin. Same size thread though.
Your W model Visar is 900 mhz and the 7" antenna with a red or white insulator is for 800mhz, the white one may be the 900 version, not sure on that. They are both 7" long.
The R Visar is capable of two scan modes determined by the programming in RSS. One is selected channel is priorty and the other is fixed. According to the information you provided they have full keypads and display.
The six Visars are trunking 900mhz radios (W model).
