900 MHz Quantar and internal USHO

Hey guys....

Got a 5 channel SmartNet site that needs expanding. The 5 Q-Tars there now have the internal UHSO option instead of a master reference oscillator. Going to add 2 stations. Question is can you tap off of a UHSO in a Qtar externally to drive the external reference input on another Qtar? See something in the block diagram in the manual that says you can get 5 MHz off of the front BNC on the station...is it hot enough to lock another station?

Trying to fix a sales screwup. know you service guys know ALL about that..

Thanks!

Dave

Hi Dave. If you check out the following thread, you will see where Astromodat states the Quantar UHSO output will support up to 8 other Quantar units.

Todd...

Thanks! I remember that thread but didn't really pay THAT much attention to the details. Should have searched the archives.. :o

I'll be doing a site visit later this week, I'll measure the output from the front jack and post the details.
