ok this is one for all you techs and people with years of installs,
3 weeks ago I had my local moto dealer install a rick in my truck for crossband use cdm-vhf to a maxtrac lowband, every ting works great except I have a enhanced mic on my cdm (RMN4026) now when i turn the cdm off the back light on the mic still stays lit, no display, nothing. so i took it back to the shop and our tech of 8 yrs was dumbfounded he disconected the #10 and #13 wire from the rick cables thinking it was ignition sence (i do not have ignition option hooked up) but the mic still is lit, is there some were else that the radio can be getting the power, a diffrent wire ect, also when i start my truck the radio will turn on like it has an ignition wire, now this is starting to were down my battery and i have to unplug the rick every night or i come out to a weak battery
i am lost any help would be great

Are the radios connected to constant power or switched?

The RICK gets power from the radios and maybe sending power to the CDM ?

i don't know if this has any thing to do with it but, the maxtrac was a upgraded from a 2 ch 5 pin connector to a 32 ch 16 pin with signaling

This is a very common problem when using the RICK.

Thats why I made up the "Extender Module", it does not have that problem, or the many others common to the RICK. Cost way less, and is Plug and Play!
