anyone have any idea on how to make my RSS version 4.03 work. its for a dual setup x9000..i keep getting a runtime error. i have used mo-slo on a 75mhz laptop and everything and still no solutions

Hi:
Easy way of making the SW work is by
using a 386-486-25 Computer with Real
DOS being loaded ( 6.22 prefered ) and
with a Good ( or Factory Rib Box ) and
cables.
Using Mo-Slo, other OS's, and / or clone
Rib Boxes could be a problem.
If you are desperate, you can go to the
BIOS and turn OFF the External Cache, and
that will make your computer slow as a snail
in a frezzer.

X9000 software requries a slow computer. Pref get the slowest computer you can get, with the max being of the 486 type.
Even if you end up getting the software to run, when you program the radio, the data being sent to the radio may get screwed up along the way, then get a verify error. MDC1200 option is very picky like this, trust me.

I have a small .exe file that temporarily shuts off the internal cache in 486 machines.
It is very useful if you have a 486 laptop and the BIOS doesn't give you the ability to shut it off.
If you reply with your email address I will send the program to you.
I have had the same problem many times, and now I have an old IBM Thinkpad that does the trick.
