Question on MCS2000 Microphone Hang-up

Post by John Moem »

Looking at a NMN6210D microphone with the touch tone pad and 3-side buttons (for my conventional MCS2000). The hang up button is plastic with no obvious metal to electrically tell the radio that the mike has ben lifted from the hang up clip. Is there a special hang up clip with this microphone to tell the radio when it's off the hook? I need to inhibit scan and PL when off the hook.

Thanks for you advice.

The MCS2000 NMN6210D full keypad microphone has a special hangup clip. It has a magnet in it that closes a reed switch in the microphone.
