Batboard

I hooked up a radio wrong and blew out the 8 pin DIP op amp IC that is connected to pin 15 of the radio side DB25. (in Polaris PA-1)
The numbers on it have been scratched off and Polaris is of NO help in identifying it!
The pinout is different that the CA3140E used in the one shown on Batlabs.....
Anyone know what IC they use?....

The reason....There isn't any ! <b>No Diagrams, No Parts List, No Help period</b>

Try getting help from the Factory....Response
Send it in for their 79.00-99.00 flat rate
repair / replacement. End of story

If I were you, I would recommend a better Clone, or better yet, get a Motorola Rib Box ! At least they have a parts list, and do not scratch off the part numbers.

Heck, they even give you a parts list !

However, I have taken the time to find
out what the two IC's are in the Polaris 1.

Depending on which one, both 8 pin Chips

1 is a UA311 /TC8401 / Koera made
1 is a ICL7660 ( Maxim ) CPA9351N

These numbers were pulled off using the
forensic Sience method

Got it fixed. Used a ECG922M that crossed from the uA311. We could read uA but nothing else on the chip they had obliterated.
I don't think I want to do any more business with them since they would not help me. OH, the chip was only $5.00 !!
