I programed the radio from 16 to 32ch HLN5569a rom upgrade. The radio works fine. I has an acc plug on the back with pin 15&16 shorted for int speaker. The plug allso has pins 7&9 shorted. When I turn on the radio, it gives me a high short beep.
I have a few of the acc shorting plugs. I needed a plug to test a radio and mixed them
up putting the one without pins 7&9 shorted
on the radio I upgraded. When I turn on the
radio, it sounded a high/low short beep.
Put the other one back on and it was back to
the high short beep. Is this right?
What dose the low short beep mean? is this bad . I have another radio I want to do this
to,but it has a 5 pin acc conn on back
HLN5172a is the number on the board.

Please help

I have done 5- 2 ch maxtrac to 32 ch in the last 24 hours, they all do the same,
they read/write function to spec.
I dont think the double beep is an issue

What kind of dubble beep. Do you get a long tone (4-5 seconds) followed by a quick beep? or is it a high tone, followed by a quick error tone.

If it's the later, go into the main options screen, change the accessory connector to "CHANNEL 1 REVERT" and it should go away.

I use 3 of the 16 ch maxtracs with the 5 pin acc connector in my vehicle.
Is the a way to convert these to 32 ch?
If so, how ?
