I have a HT600 UHF that is giving me trouble with reception. I can be next to another HT600 and one receives traffic and the other doesn't intermittantly. the PL is set correctly. any suggetions to fix this? in the RSS, there is an option for "Rx INJ" and it is set to "HIGH". there is an option for "LOW". thanks for your help.

How's your TX range ? One of the common problems with the HT600 type radios is the
antenna to PCB contact sometimes breaks if the radio is dropped. Don't get me wrong- it's a workhorse that can take a beating but if there is a failure this is one of the more common problems. This problem would effect your Rx and Tx.

I really hadn't noticed my TX distance. If that's the case, is it easy or inexpensive to repair?

Hi:

As the other fellow indicated, the Antenna
Pin to the PC board is a problem with the
HT600/P200 series of radios.

That is a Easy Fix

There is also problems found around the
Antenna Tx-Rx Transfer Module, in that the
one with that gold hat, has a ceramic piece
that tends to break along with the 3 Contacts
that run from the top housing to the main PC
Board.

There is also a " Ground" Pin ( Hard to see )
which is loctaed very close to the Channel
Selector that becomes flaky....and that too
needs to be reslodered from time to time.

If your radio is OK from above, I would then
suspect your radio may need a realighnmnet
of the front end.

On rare occasions, I have found the Antennas
to be bad also. ( Rubber Coating OKm but
the Solder around the base ) is cracked
