Hi:

That version from what I recall , must
use COM 1.

Also, the use of a Stable Rib Box is reqired
( Preferable a Motorola Rib ) and a good
386-486-25 Series Computer using DOS
6.00 / 6.22

Forget trying to use DOS under a Windows
Emulation.

I didnt think Tool Kit also known as TK 1.6 was for the P200 = I thought it was only for the GP300 / P110 and GM300 radios .

The 2-6 program was for the P200 for 2 to 6ch conversion.

Are you actualy using 2-6 program ?

no, it's the tk 1.6. the option # 4 is for ht600-p200,

if I made the cable using just the 3 wires as described here on the board, and i can read and write to the radio, I should be able to do the same with the TK ?. is there other pins needed to do this other than 3 described.

you might need the KEY it is a db-25 conn with two pins connected. If I remember it is 6 & 11 just put this on your parrallel port.
Check this page out http://www.batlabs.com/tk.html Hope this helps John

I am getting the same error with a 486/50 mhz machine and a gm300.,I guess I will have to pull out the old Kaypro 8086,I think it was at 12 mhz!

Running a real slow computer with this one will probably help. I had to do mine with a 286 machine, and yes TK 1.6 will allow you to do this conversion, as i have done this recently. P200's are old radios and appropriately require old and SLOW computers.

2to6 exe is the fastest way to go

the program 2to6 exe is
the fastest program to convert 2 channel to 6 channel
or reverse on the p200 or ht600

it takes secs to do it.
you use the normal rss gear and it works super fast.

I used a 286/20 rescued from a dumpster.

slow as you know what, but it worked just fine.

It died right after programming was done. (a final act of devotion to /\/\)
