During my recent move, I lost my documentation about moving the primary UHF RX of a MSR-2000 base/repeater below 445 while keeping the rated specs. I'd hate to redevelop the information.

Does anyone have this information handy?

I seem to recall it was a few caps to make the LO output a little higher. Does anyone have anything on this?

They usally will 'screw down' fairly easy. The receiver is the same as in the Mitrek mobile.

I've got one that is relatively deaf at 442, but good at 460. If I could find one, I'd replace the receiver and not mess with it, but, the junkbox is empty. I did about 15 of these many years ago, and, I ended up boosting the LO. I just can't find the drawings and the results of the work. I may have to do it again.

I saw an atricle on repeater-builder.com that may have the info you need. Mike has done a lot of mods on the Mitrek series receivers, and I remember changing a couple of caps also.

The Mitrek receiver frontend helical resonators are known to have some problems, like broken connections on the coil to baseplate solder connections, corrosion in the helical resonator cavities. This can also be a problem on the transmit filters also.

I've looked all over repeater-builder for that article - I remember it, too. If anyone has it or knows where it is hiding, send it along. I guess I'll have to do the work again!
