Unlike my first post about the maxtrac800, this one is not about trunking alone.

-How does the system and talkgroup scans work and differ?

-How many systems can I scan at once?

-The radio allows 10 systems, 10 talkgroups and 10 conventional channels. Is there a way to create more talkgroups and get rid of the conventional channels or some of the systems?
--Or, if I want to listen to lets say 20 talkgroups on a system, can I program two systems the same, but with different sets of talkgroups and scan both systems simultaneously?

Perhaps the lack of talkgroups is the reason why I was told that the maxtrac800 "is not the best radio to monitor trunked systems".

--Finally, what is the part number of the logic chip that would allow me to make a type I trunking radio into type II? Would this changeover also allow type IIi hybrid systems?

I am starting to get the impression that you are ether not reading the replys to yor questions or are just trying to agrevate people here on the site. Most of your questions have been answered by myself and others here before. I even offered to have you email me for any other questions that you may have had.
