I would like to know which radio would be the model of choice for linking two repeater sites.
I assume that 900 would be obvious. Other than that, Does anyone have any pointers, info., etc.. that would help me in this matter.
Help is greatly appreciated.

I recently put up a lowband VHF repeater and it's two sites sre linked via UHF using the 2 channel Radius. The transmit antenna is an Antenex YS4505 Yagi and the receive is an Antenex Voyager VG4505 with about 15' of RG-213 cable on each. I am using a DPL code on the link, to help prevent any hams or "otherwise" from accessing the system, as most ham rigs don't have DPL capability. The transmit radio is set at around 7 watts. The distance between the two sites is approx 4 miles now. The reason the large receive antenna was chosen is because I plan on expanding the system in the future and addind a second receiver site at a greater distance and our dispatch center now has the capability to dispatch us with UHF should their lowband transmitter fail (gee...this NEVER happened).
I use pre/post MDC on the portables and mobiles. The pre-MDC just allows time for both receivers to detect the DPL and activate the transmitters and has nothing to do with identifying- it's just a time delay to provide the operator with a beep reminding them to allow 1/2 second before sending a message. The post-MDC is the actual identifier.
The system: 33.1xx input (DPL)
467.xxx link out (DPL)
467.xxx link in (DPL)
33.8xx output (CSQ)
It works flawlessly. Thanks for your help, Will!
