i have a request to set up two inbound/outbound access PL's in addition to the station supporting mixed mode....


can this be done?


in other words,

PL 118.8 in = PL 118.8 out and valid repeater key
PL 156.7 in = PL 156.7 out and valid repeater key
NAC293 in = NAC293 out and valid repeater key

Unless Motorola has changed it recently, the Quantar can not have MCS unless it is analog only.

You could try creating a codeplug with two channels with the same frequency, two access tables one with each PL and one tied to each channel. Then enable scan with scan enabled at power up and TX slave.


The help file says if TX slave scan is enabled, the station's current channel changes to whatever channel scan stops on. See what happens - it might work.

Has any body had any luck with this type of a setup. i am looking to do the same thing with vhf conventional repeater. i would like to use 5-6 pl and 4-5 digital nac codes. if anybody has done this please let me know how it is setup.

I would suggest to set-up the Scan function for Non-Priority so it doesn't create a delay when a correct PL or NAC is detected. First Mode & Code in, gets the channel.

He was looking for the same information as wanted in this post, which didn't have a definitive resolution. It's perfectly ok to bump a post like that, in fact it's encouraged to keep the info in the same place for easier searching. Now, bumping ancient posts by saying something stupid or adding no value to the info already present, not the same thing and violators shall be flogged.

There is an option, Multi PL Capability X286 which allows for the capability of using up to 12 PLs and 1 DPL on a single frequency. Whether it'll get you what you want, I'm not sure.
