How did you fit a combiner in that little box to use one antenna?`

Me: "What exactly is a 900Mhz UHF CB?"
Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"

Wow! Cool picture. Many of us have only worked on urban-type sites (i.e.: mostly building rooftops), so seeing something like this makes us jealous. Must be hard not to get distracted by the scenic view while making a service call. Is there a road permitting you to drive right up to it, or must you hike or fly by helicopter ? The soil looks rocky. Did you have trouble sinking a ground rod(s) and anchoring the cabinet so it does not blow off the mountain? - the panels look like they'll catch a lot of wind. Nice install.
They are common channels (PD,Sheriff,EMS,Fire,Search and Rescue)
The splits are big (8mhz) so the combiner is small. The batteries are on the bottom (160lbs), then a shelf for the combiner and then the two repeaters. It is rocky, but I got a 3' ground rod 90% of the way in. I am going to tether the corners of the top plate down as an extra precaution.
It is definately 4 wheeling to get there. I have been driving an f350 flatbed there. I hate atvs. I wouldn't drive any truck that I owned there
Winter access is a pretty easy....
It is 15 miles off road to get there though.
