when i create a profile/codeplug, it asks for my model#, and if it is clear or secure, after i select the model# i have, the MHz defaut changes from 146 to 174MHz to 403 - 433, then askes me to select one of the following..
1) 403-433 MHz
2) 440-470 MHz
3) 458-490 MHz
4) 482-512 MHz

do i just choose what one i want to use, or do i got to pick a specific one. My radios Band is 403-512MHz according to the charts elsewhere on this site, it does state the band-slpits are to be read by the RSS
My RSS has a checksum error, which motorola stated i can fix my using RSS 7.01.00. the error was caused by using a OLD (2.0x.xx) version. So i can not read the radio and see what the original band-plan was...

thanks for any info..

MODEL# H44QXK7139CN (403-512MHz)

A normal saber is not capable of handling that wide of the band split. The band split is limited to one you have listed. If you don't know the band split you have to take the radio apart and get some part numbers from band specific parts and look them up to see what band split you have.

Hi:

As the other person has indicated, your
radio is " Limited" by the hardware in the
radio, and not just the RSS

The RSS is a tool that alows the programmer
to " change" the radio configuration as needed to fit the hardware

You really need to check all ( 3 ) Modules
if you desire a fully factory original
radio. Sucj as the Power Amp ( 71A ) means
the low range ( 72A ) would mean the mid-range and so on.

Also, another very important module is the
Receievr and that too needs to be mated with
the others.

Also, you would be well advised to chose the AAlighnment the radio was programmed with vs
the default.
