Well, I did it, broke down and bought a new truck. It is a 2004 F350 Crewcab w/ captains chairs and a center console. I am needing to install a d43 and a d44 a7 spectra, whelen whs295 siren, and a switch box of some sort. Has anyone ever tried installing radios in the factory console between the seats, perhaps sideways? I had a 14" troy console in my last vehicle, but I am wanting to keep this as covert as possible. Suggestions or even perhaps pictures for examples?

I have installed these numerous times and you can put 4 things in it if you cut another slot. It is only made for 3 though.

I have one that has been in a truck for a year with no problems.

I thougth about that jotto desk, but I was thinking about mounting them in the factory console between the captains chairs so that it was not so noticiable that the radios are in the truck. I dont know why i put Troy console in my other post, i have always used Jotto Desk stuff. Great to work with.

I also didn't read the "covert" part. If you have the large console that is in the middle, either fabricate brackets or get a horizontal console to fit in there and mount the radios in the console, that way you just open the console when you want to use them.
That may be a little to covert for you.
You could probably fit something like this in there:

When installed in the open they tend to shake, but it would have support on the side from the console so it shouldn't be too bad.
Just a suggesstion
If you put your radios in the console as if it were a regular radio console will they fit? That would be about the only suggestion I can think of off the top of my head without looking at it.
