Hi!

I need a repeater interface cable schematic to connect a couple of GM350
into repeater and if there is anything special about programming to make it work.

for the pin out.

The above link should be helpful. It looks like you need to program the GM350 for PTT on pin 3 and COR low on pin 8. You won’t need the speaker jumper between pin 15 and 16 for the GM350. All other needed pins are the same as indicated in the diagram.

Hi !

I connected my GM350 like Nand told me and it works 100% O.K. .
I use 128 channel versions of GM350. I need two more radio for my HAM project but don`t want to spend to much $$$. Can I use cheaper 4 channel versions for repeater. Or is it the same thing like with GM300 with limited logic board with no COR output on 16pin accessory connector ?

Glad to hear that it worked without any problems.

COR isn’t externally available on the 5 pin Maxtracs etc. without some minor modification, but COR is available on all 16 pin accessory connectors for Maxtrac, Radius Mobiles including all varieties of the GM300.

My guess is that the four channel models of the GM350 also have the COR pin on the accessory 16 pin connector if they have this connector.

Has anyone had any luck using two 4 ch GM350's in a repeater configuration? Some of the UK boys claim there's no discriminator audio present on Pin 11, in the 4 ch models. They say discriminator audio is only present on Pin 11, in the 128 ch models. See this link: http://www.midcom.co.uk/infomation/gm350conn.htm

Is there any truth to this? BTW is Pin 8 programmable for the COR function in the 4 ch european models. I'm working on a cheap link system, and was hoping to use a couple of 4 ch GM350's floating around the shop.

Thanks :)
