In the past for this vehicle, I have tapped for H/R in the engine compartment at the power center before the horn relay. Can you tap for this at the BCM under the steering column (I believe the wire is black and a negative trigger), or is this also a tap? In other words, if the wire under the steering column is simply a tap of the horn circuit as well, whereas it doesn't actually come from the horn switch, I could only accomplish "horn" and not "Ring"......If that makes any sense. (Typing this after a graveyard shift). Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is a black wire about 22 ga and it is a neg trigger, It comes straight from the horn button and you can access it under the steering column.
