First you have to populate the radio with conventional "modes", trunked personalities, or both. Then you can assign them to zones from the zone list screen.

Should have looked through all the search results. Found the answer in the last one. On the screen you have to use the enter key after typing the number in. only way it works?

Frank,

I had a heck of a time trying to add zones.
Thanks to your post, I finally got it!
The manual really should clarify using the enter key.

I'm kinda puzzled here. When I go to the ADD or DELETE fields, both my copies of RSS (one is Lab) display in the upper right corner the fact that you have to use the Enter key, and the F1 Help file also tells you to use the Enter key. Do your copies not display the instructions or Help files?
curmudgeon.....and I like it.

All of my help files appear to be intact. I frequently use them.
There is no mention of using the enter key in the help files or
my manual. I am using R06.00.05 03-Jun-93 with 6.06 MLM.
What RSS & MLM are you using?

Well, day-um, the version in the shop (06.00.something, I forgot already) doesn't tell ya shi-shi, but my "old" copy of Lab (05.03.00/05APR92) on the laptop gives me the info as does the next earlier copy on my bench computer. "Press ENTER key to add/delete zone. Press F10 yadda yadda yadda..." Go figure.
curmudgeon.....and I like it.
