The book says:

Probable cause - Station reset ocurred during user area update of TTRC EEPROM.

Corrective action - Reprogram the TTRC codeplug. Refer to the RSS manual.

MSF5000 with error code d.A.0

Thanks for the reply, however, I have two MSF5000's that are both displaying this error code. One started after Hurricane Charley and the other started after being in the shop for a couple of months and was powered up to work on it for another problem. I can't find anything about programing the ttrc code plug. Does it get programed when you write to the code plug from RSS? Thanks again for any assistance....

Yes, the RSS sends data for the SSCB, then the TTRC, and finally the Secure board, if present. After successfully sending the data to the system's RAM, the system writes it to the non-volatile memory. RSS waits for a good status on this phase, and you're done.

It seems that even after replacing the firmware EPROMs, the MSF5000 will come up with error codes, but it will still respond to a programming request from the RSS even in this confused state (fortunately). If you can find a saved codeplug that you can resend to the unit, that should get you all fixed up. If not, you'd have to start fresh with one of the default configuration files that comes with RSS and setup the frequencies etc all over again. Not difficult but certainly the last resort.

Hope this helps.
