vhf antennas?

I have couple of installs pending on older Blazers with vhf radios. The vehicles already have ball mounts on the side and the owners do not want holes in the fiberglass roof. I remember using coaxial antennas with 1/4 wave whips years ago. Are these still available?
Does anyone have experience with the "decal antenna" by ARC Wireless Solutions? I have an install on a mini van for a ham who only runs on 70cm.
Thanks to all.

Antenna Specialists has the high band antenna you're looking for. It's a 5/8 on a coaxial sleeve mount though, not a 1/4 wave. It looks like you could just swap antennas though. And the whole assembly will thread into the ball mount, though you'll still have the feedline to deal with.

Good luck.

I've sold a few of the ARC decal antennas. They seem to work pretty well for around town type of stuff, but are not suitable for rural applications. The higher frequency ones work much better than the lower frequency models.
