Looking for a console that'll fit in my 02 Silverado. it's a 2500 with a 40/20/40 front seat. I'm looking for something designed to fit infront of the middle seat/drop down arm rest on the floor.

All i can find is horribly ugly universal junk :-/

any ideas? Links?

I just put a Havis 10" angled series console in my '01 Silverado. It sits forward of the cup holders, just below the center console and doesn't interefere with the heating vents.

It doesn't look too bad. I'm pretty pleased with it, all things considered. It holds Kenwood TK-730 and Tk-830 as well as a 785D scanner.

Or you can always take out the middle seat part, the rails that hold it down can come out also, and you have 2 buckets seats and you can put any kind of console you want.

I'd rather not take the seats out of the truck... I'm just looking for something built to fit between the cup holders and the dash, nice and high and not all open and ugly looking.

I'll check out the havis. Anyone else have any ideas?

Checkout Inch's Machine Shop in Loomis, Ca. at http://www.inchstooling.com. i think they recently made one for a fire dept. vehicle that was similar to yours. Their stuff is top quality using heavy gauge steel and aluminum that is powder coated to the color you specify.

Thanks Kens... Message Sent 8)

Hello,

A gentleman on a message board I frequent recommended I contact your company in regards to a console for my pickup truck. I’ve got a 2002 Chevy 2500HD with a 40/20/40 front seat. The center seat has a fold down arm rest with cup holders on the floor in front. I can furnish pictures if necessary. What I’m looking for is a flush fitting console to sit on the floor right up against the dash with a slight downward angle stopping before the cup holders. Something enclosed with custom face plates would also be a plus. Currently I have approximately 4 pieces of equipment equaling roughly 3 DIN in height. If you’ve already designed custom equipment for this vehicle I’d be interested in seeing pictures and approximate reproduction costs… if not, I’d like to get you whatever you need to work me up a quote for a new design.

Thank you,
Scott Sybert

KitN1MCC,

If you moved that console all thw way back to the dash, would it still sit flat on the floor? Is the transmission hump in your 1500 real wide, like 16" and flat al the way acorss?

How much room would there be from the cup holders to the console if it were pushed as far back as possible?

And I saw the 100D in there... what are you using for an HF antenna? I've got a High Sierra Sidekick screw driver mounted horozontially under my hard toneau cover. Nice and hidden. Perfect. 8)
thanks, Scott.
