Has anyone made a remote mount for a PA300/PA200/PA1000???

I have a customer who is asking for this.

Just thought I would check with the board to see if anyone had attempted this or if anyone knows of a kit that may be avaliable.

Thanks in advance......

Wes -

I created a "remote" some years ago by parallelling a rotary switch and a toggle switch to the existing switches in the PA-300. Power was turned on/off remotely. As far as I know it is still working.

I have this installed in my truck right know. Its very simple to do..

Now the model of pa300 i have this done too is the older model. their new models are all surface mount technology an the front of the siren is all mounted on a circuit board. I havent done this to a new one yet.
with that said the siren use a control voltage of 6 volts i believe to activate each function wail,yelp,hi/lo,airhorn,man,radio, now all you got to do is figure out what options you want to use or not use an go from their. I just wanted the airhorn function an wail/yelp an radio I didnt want to use hi/lo cause i hate euaropean sirens with a passion an despise that tone. i use a simple spectra siren switch this is used on the handheld controlhead. modifiied the curciut board for a momentary push switch for the airhorn.
Your tap in to the 6 volt source right from the airhorn swich i use a 5 lead multi conductor cable to run the wires. u just soldered each lead to what function i wanted. you dont have to remove any of the wires from the original switch if you dont want to. then wired then to my remote switch. 3 position toggle for the siren tones wail off yelp. an walla you have your remote pa300. an you can use the siren either remote or at the unit.
