I've searched, but couldn't find the info I need...

Will any Jedi battery work on an XTS5000?

I have several Jedi style batteries and really do not want to have to buy another battery and charger...

THANKS!

So what is my best bet for a battery that I'll be able to use in my regular Jedi charger?

you can use the jedi charger, you just have to pull the battery off the radio and charge it by itself. (this refers to the cradle type chargers)

Check which charger you have and then verify what batteries its' capable of charging. Some of the olders charges are not recommended for Lithium Ion or NIMH batteries. If you have one of the newer tri-chem chargers, than no problem. If not, Nicads are readily available and if properly maintained still give great performance.

spend $140 on the

WPLN4111 charger

it will charge:

XTS 3000/5000/2500
Jedi HT1000/MT/MTS2000

and

Saber (all)

plus it will charge all three chemistries - NICD, NiMH, Lion

and

it will do the newest batts (IMPRES)

spend the cash - you won't regret it.
