Hey all,
I have a 93 Suburban and i want to install an additional battery to increase my amperage. Anyone have detailed instructions on how to do this or a place to go to find the info. Google search explains it, but i cant find details on how to do it.

simple, Go to GM buy the tray for the side you want the battery on, you might already have the tray might not, if not get one out of the same years diesel pickup. next, find an automotive parts store or a farm implement dealer that makes battery cables...if you find a farm implement dealer you can get some real battery cable like 00 cable. Measure from the + post on the drivers side, to the + post on the passenger side adding some extra so that you can route the wires cleanly. Then remove the battery cable that goes from the battery to the starter.
Next, measure from the - post on the drivers side to a GOOD ground point on the frame or motor
Finally, remove the - battery cable from the passenger side.
Now, take all your measurements and the old cables to the place that builds battery cables. have 2 new - cables made up with post terminal clamps on one end and eyelets on the other. Have the + cable made with a post clamp on one end that runs the measured length from above, then use a "T" clamp for the passenger side battery, followed by the amount of cable needed to go the the starter.
What I have described is the exact way the factory cables were on my 95 Chevy K3500 with a 6.5TD. Then when we replaced the batteries, we used 00 cable. Never had problems starting it again!
Good luck
