Here is a 100 watt 256 channel Low Band in my 01 Siverado I did a few years ago. I only put about 50 channels in it. The head is mounted in the space that was used for CD storage. I just removed the door and cut down a control head bracket. The bracket is just long enough to put a crew into the inside of the compartment. there is a open space behind the compartment that the control wires go thru. The speaker is mounted up underneath the dashboard and faces down. There was not much audio loss from it being up there. The contro box just lays on the floor underneath the rear bench seat. I might mount it onto the underside of the bech seat but it has'nt moved since I installed it. The antenna is a Motorola Spectrum with a Antenex low profile trunk lip mount. I only put the 1 antenna on because it is more or less a glorified scanner for me anymore. I have it set up for the diplex kit but never put the 33 Mhx antenna on.

There is "Top Secret" 256 mode firmware out, but I've never seen it. Best I've got is 128 modes also.
