XTS5000 Scan programming question.

I just got my XTS5K alpha version radio programmed. I set it up so that the orange button is scan, sw A is blank. sw B is PL Off, sw C is Scan program. The side buttons are Purple is Light, single DOT is monitor silent, and two DOT is Nuis delete.
I programmed the personalities to all be scan list 1, and selected pri 1 to be selectable as well as pri 2.
Now as you can tell I am needing the radio set-up as user programmable.
So I flip the toggle sw to position C and the normal SEL DEL RCL appear as well as the flashing square in the upper right corner acting like it is in programming mode. In addition the channel name is up on the screen and I can select it with ch sel as well as arrow left or right to change zones.
However when I select my channel on the screen and push the SEL it bonks at me with an error key press bonk.
Now here is the particulars of the radio HOST 2.20.02 DSP 2.20.00 SECURE 5.00.13 FLASH 100001-000000-7 SN 123ABC1234
Now as you can see from the flash code it is only conv and IMBE Digital. However I thought scan was part of the rx

if it is bonking at you, the scan list is full.

have you programmed the scan list to already be 15 channels?

if so, you have to delete something before you can add a new channel.

of course, if the list is NOT full, then we have some kind of operator intervention issue.

i've played with alphas before and have not encountered what you describe, so i'm certain it's either the operator or programming.

I think it is something on my end because when I push the orange button which is scan on/off it bonks and stays "bonking" and says list empty on the display.

I even tried using the RCL and DEL buttons to see if there was something that was in the list and it bonks at me again.

I will recheck my programming as I even spelled something that began with an E with an R instead so at least it is not just for scanning.

Looks like I put the non-pri members to list and did not leave it on op select.

So I have the pri 1 set-up as selected channel

I have pri 2 set-up as op sel

I have non-pri members as op sel

I have the top orange button set as scan and long press is scan prog.

So I think I am set. I know I had the non-pri as op sel the first time I programmed it but I guess I must have changed it. I hate windows CPS.
