Motorola Access Control System

Hi All,
I am looking for any help with programming a (RFID) card swipe system.
The system has a proximatey reader branded Motorola ASP.
There is a control box with built in keypad, the PCB's are marked "7500" CPU.
The cards are marked 94952-1 (Family number I assume) followed by the individual card number eg. 01713
When a valid card is swiped the reader led changes from Red to Green and a magnetic lock is activated.
Any help with programming will be much appreciated.

There was a very good article in a 2600 Magaizine (http://www.2600.org) about how these thigns work with abunch of links to some websites that have alot of technical info about them. I don't recall the issue, but sending an email to the editor. Here's a few links I dug up from their website:

For the $5.00 they cost, I'd definatly recommend you order them.

I can't remember what magazine this was in (probably 2600), but I saw a schematic for an RFID spoofer which basically sniffs all the RFID cards in a given area, and was the size of a cigarette pack. The theory is that you'd stand next to an RFID sensor on a door and this thing would snatch up all the RFID tags that happened to pass by, then you could reprogram a card to do whatever you want. Not that I'd recommend this of course...

The cards are hard coded at the factory. Motorola has since sold the manufacturing of these cards to HID (Hughes IDentification). The cards and readers are generic in operation and provide a pulsed +5/-5VDC output in a Weigand standard. The format is based on the card and ranges anywhere from 26 to 40 bits long. Usually, you program the card access controller to accept new cards or change the access restriction parameters on the card. Motorola, Indala and HID only make cards and readers. They do not make access controllers. If you can get some information about what kind of access controller you have, I might be able to get you some information on how to program it.

Just a note, access control systems are designed so that you can't easily change programming without authorization.

Not that I don't trust you, but if you have to come here and ask how to re-program a card access system, my initial impression is that you don't know how for a reason. I'm not saying that I know you don't have a legitimate reason, but I deal with a large card access system all day long so a post like this throws up a flag.
