Care of one 403-430 Astro spectra, possible? pull RF sections and find a "K" split codeplug? What am I missing, no, not my head.

I am going to try this using an 800 Astro Spectra and a VHF Spectra as a starting point - hoping to end with an 800 Analog Spectra and a VHF Astro Spectra.

You would swap the Command, VOCON and RF boards from the Astro radio into the VHF radio and put the corresponding analog boards into the [previously] Astro donor. There are a few small parts [5-6] to change between frequency ranges on the RF boards and it should work just fine.

Obviously you have to have codeplugs for the target radio models to shove in to finish the conversion - then wrap up by doing a full alignment on each radio.

The subject of changing ranges of these radios was discussed:

I don't get it. How are you going to generate IMBE waveforms with analog RF boards? I thought they were completely different and the astro boards had the added components. Then again, I've never owned or even seen the inside of an astro spectra.
