Not to sound silly but I am interested in setting my radios up for ignition sense to be powered up on startup. I have a 1997 blazer. I am somewhat ashamed that I dont know this considering all of the radios I have installed in my time. Thanks for any help given, Donnie G

ok, the AM/FM radio power lead is a good place to start to find switched power for IGN sense, or to throw a relay to turn on a bus. you can get away with this for a unit or two, as the switched current for an IGN sense on a CDM is only a couple of hundred mA. anything more than that, or a big ass bank of radios and equipment, and i'd find a nice low current relay to throw instead.
or if you're a perfectionist, you can run juice from the on side of the starter solenoid, but that's way too much work.
what kind of radios are you looking to set up like that? it's really easy considering almost every portable out there comes with an external pin connector for IGN sense.

A voltmeter, the fuse block, and the book on the vehicle is always a good start.
