Is is marked:

Motorola Model Number: MBT43EXA7J00BK

With a Tag that states:

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

probably some kind of old tower radio for calling crash trucks

It is a MCX100, i'm not familiar enough with them to tell you more though.

I don't know if there is a model number chart around here for these or not.

VHF MCX100. Looks like it has an encryption box too
Probably came from a GSA FAA vehicle.

By the model # and the picture you have a remote mount, 32 channel VHF 40 watt MCX-100 with Digital Encryption, PL& DPL Squelch. Band split is either 136-162 or 146-174 mhz, depending on the VCO in the radio.

If you pop the covers off there should be a white label with the frequencies and option codes for the radio.

MBT43EXA7J00BK VHF 40-50 Watts X=Wideband Receiver 12Kb Securenet Programmable with Dual Encryption/Decryption Control Box probably DES-XL Format. I will will take an educated guess this unit is on a frequency between 165 MHz and 174 MHz.

The Red button is used for the Erase Mode, in case some were unauthorized to use Secure Mode. The Crome plated socket is used for the KVL to manually insert the keys. The Key switch marked Change is for the FAA user to switch between Encryption Keys and the Keyloader switch is flipped for loading both Encryption Keys.
