Hi Group,
Having not worked with an MSR 2000 repeater before, and now having the opportunity to purchase one, I have a few questions.

Is it difficult to tune the MSR 2000 UHF 450-470MHz stations into the 440MHz ham band, or do they slide right down, like a MICOR does?

The station I may be purchasing is a C74GSB6106BT. A DPL unit. How difficult is it to convert the unit from DPL to PL? I understand that all the subaudible signalling is done on a card that sits in the card cage. Is it as simple as pulling out the DPL card and inserting a PL card with the correct tone reeds on it?

The MSR-2000 will move down with very little effort. It is critical you follow the tuning instructions in the manual for best perfromance. Having a metering box (lots of them on fleabay) is a good idea.

Generally, you can remove the DPL card and insert a PL card. It is also pretty easy to interface to an external controller if you choose that route.
