Hello again all,

Another question. Looking to replace my cat300dx with a NHRC 5 controller.

1) Is this unit okay since I guess scom doesn't offer the 7k anymore??

2) The cor/cas/cos as they call it appears to only operate as an active high. My problem is the msf provides and active low. How do I change this signal????

Thanks, Rob

The NHRC 5 is a great controller, i know that from first hand use.

Going from a low going COS to an active high going COS is easy enough. You just need to build a quick circuit to interface the two.

Only takes a couple resistors and a 2n3904, and NHRC even did the leg work and supplied a hook up schematic on their web site under application notes. Here is the link to it on there website:

i've got an NHRC-7 that's working between a CDM1550 & an MTR2000, and i was BLESSED with the CDM having an Active Hi COR option - but that "cas inverter" nhrc has works perfectly w/ an active lo COR from motorola mobiles.
