Will an ASTRO SPECTRA operate without a control head????

Post by wd9cms »

Hi,

I was wondering if you can set up a ASTRO SPECTRA on a single mode and operate the radio without a control head. I have read that you could do this with a analog spectra with some jumpers installed. If you can what do you need to make the ASTRO SPECTRA work???

Thanks,

As far as I know, you should be able to use the same jumper to power up the radio without a control head.

I haven't done it, but I know of someone who has. I've seen it power up and RX on channel 1 ok. Haven't seen much beyond that.
