10+ years. Definetely not voice programmable. At the most it would be DIP for 4 freq's. but I think XTal is the most likely. Looks just like a P10
except for color.

Wow I haven't seen one of those since back when I was a security guard just out of high school. If I remember correctly the radio was pre programmed with FRS frequencies and TPLs. If you held the PTT button in and then turned the radio on a voice would tell you what frequency and pl code you were selecting. WEIRD!

This is a single channel VHF crystal radio with no pl. These were sold by places like Sam's Club and Grainger (Real radio dealers, ie Here's your new toy-have fun) Good solid unit, but over 13 years old at the newest-RRRobby

This radio as pictured in the ebay add, IS a Spirit.
They are crystal radios. Basically a stripped down P50 or more accurate, a 2 watt P10 without any options.
If equiped with PL (or DPL) the PL Code is selected with a 8 pos dip switch.
"If I remember correctly the radio was pre programmed with FRS frequencies and TPLs. "
NO, the Spirit radios were only available on what they called the DOT frequencies. At the time ALL DOT frequencies required a FCC LIcense. Some of the DOT frequencies in the VHF were receintly designated MURS, the remaining still require licensing.
