Just got a 2004 Dodge Ram, have a bunch of radios and lights to install anyone every work on the truck before have tips? getting threw firewall or good spot to drill for antenna on roof. Any good console pictures would be great thanks. I'll post mine when it's done

Getting through the firewall is easy in the RAM. I've done a couple of them now with no problems. There is plenty of space on the driver's side - you'll see some existing inserts you can go along or poke another hole as needed.

There's some mounting strut right under dash for a head. If this is a manual transmission, that works well. If an auto, well, you've got a ton of space below the center stack.

Power access is easy on the driver's side of the engine compartment. The entire fuse assortment is available there.

I have an '03 and in-dash mounted a Spectra A4 head in the dash pocket, decent fit . I just pulled out that flip down down cup holder assembly and
it's looking like a MR8100 would fit well in that hole.

For antennas, anything short can go up top on NMO's for anything long, I recommend the fender. There is a flat fender bracket available for dodges. Open the hood and along the sides (top of the fender) is a shelf. You will find I THINK two bolts that are right on top of the shelf. pull the bolt out and put the fender bracket there, put the bolt back in. Now you have a perfect mount to accept a standard NMO mount assembly.

We did several Dodge's for Virginia Health and Human Services. Each truck got a a VHF, UHF and LB CDM1250. So we put two of these fender mounts for the LB and VHF gain antennas and a gain UHF on the roof.
