XTS5K & 3K Ribless Cables
Has anyone used any of the 5K and 3K ribless cables being sold on Ebay? Do these actually work?

- What radios do you own?: All of them
I just picked up a ribless JEDI/XTS cable from Panter88. I read my XTS3000 about 15 times before I'd even think about writing. I finally wrote the radio with NO problems. The only snag I've run into is the cable doesn't fit quite right on my HT1000- that is, the spring clip is too thick to seat properly in the top of the mic connector. Other than that, It's a great cable for $45!
I also e-mailed several buyers of the cable and asked them how well it worked. Nobody had any complaints.

The cable for the XTS5000 is completely different than a XTS3000/Jedi Series Cable. The 5000 Cable only works for xts5000, xts2500, xts1500, pr1500, and other new astro25 portables, so those of you with either or cable don't try going to read and write to the other model.
