Try under the display and menu section. click PTT ID, then END OF VIOCE TIMER. If you click the "?" with the arrrow and bring it to the item in question, it will bring up a help menu and explain what that setting does.

It defaults to 0 seconds (display clears when you stop receiving). You can adjust it to 7 seconds max in 1 second increments.

If you are recieving a post PTT MDC signal, it will disapear as soon as it hears the next carrier, regardless of how that setting is adjusted. So if you are on a repeater that has hang time, that means it will go away fairly quickly.

JMR and I have been playing with those settings for awhile.

If your in SCAN, and you have your scan resume time set any lower than the ID display time, the ID will disapear when the scan resumes.

For it to properly work with POST-PTT, the DOS Coast time needs to set for 0, or the ID will display disappear quite rapidly as well after the carrier drops.

I would double check the flash first. To display MDC ID's the radio must be flashed with H14 Digital ID Display.

He sent me his codeplug and I made the changes to it that I required for my ASIII to prioperly keep the ID displayed. I have yet to hear from him whether or not it fixed the problem.
