While setting up a new conventional ASTRO Network, a Moto tech told me that I could use ASTRO talkgroup scan to monitor two frequencies on my multicast system. This would in theory eliminate users from alternating channels as they travel through my 450 mile network. RSSI voting is not an option as I need to also monitor cooperating agencies as well.
Although while I was at Schaumburg he was able to show in the CPS how to set this up, I do not have the Scan Type-Talkgroup option in my CPS. Is this a trunking option only?
I find more help here than from Moto as a rule, so before I call them again, any help, comments or questions are appreciated.
